EARWAX REMOVAL
Gentle care for healthy, happy ears.
Earwax (or cerumen, if we’re being fancy) is your ear’s natural self-cleaning system. It traps dust, debris, and bacteria, and usually moves out of the ear on its own. But sometimes, wax builds up or gets pushed too far in—and that’s when it can start to cause problems. Our professional earwax removal services are here to help you feel clearer, more comfortable, and confident that your ears are in good shape.
We use a device called a lighted curette to manually remove any earwax able to be safely scooped from the canal. Click HERE to watch a video.
SIGNS OF POSSIBLE EARWAX IMPACTION
A little wax is normal. But too much can lead to symptoms like:
A feeling of fullness or pressure in the ear
Reduced hearing or muffled sound
Itching or irritation
Tinnitus (ringing or buzzing)
Occasional dizziness or imbalance
Trouble using hearing aids or earbuds
If you're experiencing any of these, it's worth having your ears checked—especially before trying to remove the wax yourself (we see a lot of cotton swab mishaps!).
ONGOING EAR CARE & PREVENTION
For some people, wax builds up more often—due to ear shape, skin type, or frequent earbud/hearing aid use. We’ll help you:
Understand your wax pattern and how often you may benefit from cleanings
Learn what not to put in your ears (hint: cotton swabs, candles, and DIY kits are on that list)
Set up a routine care plan if you’re someone who tends to build up wax regularly
We use a device called an Earigator to perform safe and effective earwax removals, even for the most stubborn of wax impactions. Click HERE to watch a video of the equipment in action!
EARWAX REMOVAL
We use safe, evidence-based methods to gently remove wax, depending on your needs and comfort:
Manual removal – using specialized tools under magnification
Irrigation or flushing – a controlled rinse with warm water (only when appropriate)
Your provider will assess your ear health first and choose the method that’s safest and most effective for you.
